Conservatives, go vote on November 3rd!!!!

Midterms are just around the corner.

If the polls are correct, Republican conservatives have an uphill climb, but only if conservatives stay at home. Generally, the party in power(in the White House) loses seats in the midterms, but not always. Also, polls are not always correct as Republicans generally refuse to answer poll surveys. That leaves polls skewed to the Democrat’s favor pretty considerably. For parents, students, and educators…elections have huge consequences. With that in mind, I want to take you back to the Obama and Biden policies which affected education then and still have had lasting consequences.

Here is a refresher:

-Boys(identifying as girls) going to the bathroom in girls bathrooms and vice versa.

-Parents being placed on FBI watch lists for showing up at BOE meetings and vocally disagreeing with crazy polices.

-Boys playing in girls sports. So much for the feminist movement, right?

-Race to the Top. This is an over assessment policy which was embraced in Kingsport and still exists. It began under the Obama administration and is not related to No Child Left Behind from the Bush admin. Quite frankly, it stinks.

-Massive amounts of red tape in the teacher evaluation process. More observations for principals and crazy amounts of unnecessary observations for good teachers. It is a massive time suck.

-DEI. Diversity, equity, and inclusion. That sounds like a great idea, except it was used to discriminate against students based on the color of their skin instead of their ability and content of character.

-Draconian school shutdowns. Anyone remember when KCS absolutely refused to open their schools while non-medical BOE members tried to act like doctors and keep it closed? I do. The Biden administration allowed schools to remain closed for far too long. The benefit for public schools was that it reset their student data baselines to much lower expectations. Unfortunately, schools are now focused on growth(Race to the Top) and not achievement as a result. Despite warnings(which have proven to be true in spades) of mental health problems as a direct result of shutdowns, many systems remained closed.

-Mask mandates. If the Democrat Socialist Movement makes expected gains, those mandates are the least of our worries.

-Choosing pronouns. Utterly ridiculous in nature, we were making elementary and middle school students choose their pronouns. Many public schools, including some locally, were purposefully confusing children about their own gender.

-School choice. I really wish the BOE leaders who continually vote to censure school choice would have to place their own children in a failing school, and then not be allowed out of it simply because of a school district zoning line. I have stated prior that I used to be staunchly against school choice, until my own children were trapped in a failing school. Now, I want all families to have a fincancial voucher to vote with their feet! With Tri-Cities Christian opening up next year, I wonder how many will do exactly that over the next 5-10 years. Better get competitive KCS, or that school is gonna run circles around us. Parent no longer have to put-up with over assessment and BOE members ignoring the community’s wishes.

-The strengthening of the federal Department of Education under Obama/Biden. I don’t think many understand how the Department of Education had begun to force indoctrination of students. Just this week, I literally saw the word “collectivism” in a local school -> that is soft indoctrination. Schools were threatened with funding losses if they didn’t assess more, agree with insane gender policies, and parental rights were trampled upon.

-As for parental rights, those were at an all-time low during the Biden and Obama administrations. Even locally, parents are no longer allowed to eat lunch with their own children. How many of you (parents) have access to a portal which shares all of the massive amounts of normed assessment data which is being collected/mined from our students? You don’t, and that should worry you. There is an entire dossier of data being collected on each student(which includes AI projects on proficiency) which parents don’t get to see.

And I share all of this in order to ask this question, “Do ya’ll really want to go back to that?” A Democrat Socialist government would be far more regulatory of your child’s learning environment. It would be a nightmare for teachers and educators. The only positive I see is that “fake Republican” school board members (Dems who ran in the Republican primary) will be forced into the open as they have to either protect or conform to DSA(Democrat Socialists of America) policies which will challenge even the most common sense thinking,

Want to avoid the above, vote for conservatives who will protect your Constitutional rights as students, parents, and educators. Midterms are November 3rd. Make sure that you get five people out to vote!!!! The only way we lose is if we don’t get out and voted.
