Are large central office staffs creating meaningless work in order to justify their growing numbers?

It is worth a thought. Is it time to shrink Central Office staffs? I think so. I think many need to go right back into the classroom where they can carry out the very policies which they are implementing. There are some serious questions posed by Mcmul Claud in this TikTok reel.

Central office admin bloat impacts classroom realities. Are data-driven decisions harming educational effectiveness? Let’s talk about the balance between data and real-life teaching experiences. All central office contracts need to be reviewed annually. We need to decide if each employee and their job description is critical to the mission. If not, they can go teach on the front lines with everyone else.

I agree w/ Mcmul Claud. We have people in Central Offices who are creating work in order to justify funding their jobs. This is robbing our teachers of valuable time. Worse, some of those folks are picking and choosing metrics to “trap” good educators and force them out. Why that is occurring is another conversation altogether. Are we forcing out are best employees so they don’t make our low performers or “snake oil salespeople” look bad?

You make the call.

On Tap: Once school report cards are released, those will be reviewed. There will be community accountability to see if Central Office narratives fit their personnel decisions. Oh boy.
