End of School Devotions

I know the end of the year for teachers is a busy time. We have to send forth young people who we have worked with for ten months. We have checkout lists to complete and final records to finish. Sometimes, dreaded standardized test scores arrive early – oh happy day(not).

So, I thought I might provide a short devotion 4-5 days a week. They will be Bible verses, quick reads, or just quick quotes with maybe some commentary.

Now, to be clear….I am NOT done defending educators and have every right to resume that defense at the time of my choosing. My defense of great educators and healthy schools will remain unyielding and unrelenting. Our movement is growing. Reform is needed. My response, if needed, will be withering. Lord willing, my pen will be at the ready should things change. 1,800 people sent a message yesterday by voting for Sara Cassidy and her advocacy. We are no longer a small group of concerned citizens. We can now fill one third of the Dome.

But for now, I think what believers (and non believers!) need…is a good dose of Scripture, encouragement, and reminders of tools(that God offers us) to withstand the Enemy and also to proclaim the goodness of God. God needs workers for the harvest. Satan will surely try to cut them down. But I firmly believe this. God is our rock, our fortress, and redeemer. He will answer injustice on His terms and in His time. The God who protected David in the face of Goliath and who answered the Pharisees with woes….still is in power. My faith is in Him.

So the predominance of entries for May will focus on the spiritual underpinning of our students, families, and teachers/administrators. The stronger that we are spiritually, the better that we may proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ when called upon.

Final Notes and Housekeeping: I have considered adding a video or audio blog. I know sometimes I need something to listen to while driving or running on the treadmill. I may give that a test drive. I don’t mean to bring fame or fortune to myself(this blog is entirely free). But our message as conservative Christians must be clear and included on multiple platforms if we are to be effective. I may even invite some guests! You will also be hearing this phrase going forward as we are going to very active gearing up for the 2028 BOE elections – 3 in 28. Three seats in 2028. I will be posting a contract with the community – meaning this is what the 2028 BOE will sign up for. How hard we push for those seats will depend upon the actions(or inaction) of elected and appointed officials during the coming months. For now, we are full speed ahead.

Just imagine what we can do when we have a two year head start. So there are no surprises, everyone should know the 2028 seats will be contested. Voting records and actions of the BOE are fair game for debate.

We are going to keep digging new wells!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. ~ Hebrews 12: 1-2
