He created the world in six days.
He sealed the door of Noah’s ark.
He brought forth the flood waters.
He showed the stars to Abraham – one of them was for you.
He protected Joseph while in Egypt.
He parted the Red Sea.
He brought His people home.
He brought down the walls of Jericho.
He guided a rock from a sling.
He sent prophet after prophet.
And when that wasn’t enough,
He sent the Passover lamb, the One who was promised.
He watched His Son stand with prostitutes.
He watched Him lift up lepers.
He watched the blind receive sight.
He watched the lame walk.
He empowered Him forgive people of their sins.
He watched Him teach – setting the record straight.
He watched His final meal.
He watched His son beaten, whipped, mocked.
He watched Him nailed to a cross.
He heard his Son cry out – forsaken.
He watched as his Son took his last breath and died.
He brought darkness upon the land.
He left the Bread of Life in the grave for three days.
And then, God did what only God can do.
He brought Jesus back from the dead.
A Father and Son reunited.
Death defeated.
A people forgiven.
A people restored.
His mercy proclaimed.
His grace defined.
His infinite love bestowed.
Forever more.
Forever more.
Happy Easter.
