Reels. Some funny. Some serious. Here is kind of a week in review in the world of local education. I hope you enjoy.
1. This is the sarcastic response most teachers would like to give to the following question when asked at team meeting or data conferences, “We just want to get a feel for how you spend your day?”
“I have eight different bosses, Bob.”
2. Microge-a-ment? How I picture central office internal training. “I am going to have to fix you. I am going to have to manage you two on a more personal scale. A more micro form of management. Jim what is that called? Microge-a-ment.
3. “You deserve to be happy.” And this is what I want to tell all of the great teachers and administrators who are in the school system which shall not be named.
4. You Never Walk Alone. This is powerful on a lot of levels – a coach addressing his team after a bad result(I picture a former principal giving this speech on his last day). But really this is for all of the great teachers and admin, “You never walk alone.” (But I can assure of this, I personally won’t be a goldfish. We won’t forget the, “I have your backs and you have nothing to worry abouts.” I firmly believe that people who have your back never have to tell you that.)
